After about ten months of lockdowns
and new ways of patronizing businesses, I thought sharing a few trends we have noticed.
- • Menu Changes - The days of constantly adding menu items and increasing menus seem to be ending, at least for the short term. We have seen a trend in both our customers as well as nationally in slimming down menus. With more curbside, phone calls and deliveries happening, speed is important. This is a great reason to review your item sales and see what is and is not working for you. Give us a call and schedule a time to review your menu.
- • Prices - Raise those prices. At this point, we recommend waiting until after the new year as that is a great time in general. With changes to our shopping habits, visits to your locations are more of a "splurge" than ever before. We have seen our customers raise their prices across the board.
- • Gift Card Sales - I know that we talk about gift cards a lot. The reason is that they work. Over the last ten months, we have seen gift cards be an even bigger part of sales. When you can't be open, they are a great way to bring in cash. This is the perfect time of the year to push them as well.
